Does Laser Liposuction require general anesthesia?
Laser-assisted liposuction does not require general anesthesia or IV sedation. Tumescent anesthesia (a local anesthetic, such as lidocaine, diluted with saline) is injected in the skin of the area to be treated. This safely and effectively keeps the patient comfortable during the procedure.
